How can I suspend GEICO car insurance?

I'm going away for a few months and won't be driving my car. I'd like to keep insurance on it, but it seems silly to pay when I’m not even driving. Can you freeze your car insurance with GEICO?

GEICO
does not offer the ability to suspend coverage. However, since you won’t need
car insurance
for a specific period, you can call GEICO directly at 1-800-207-7847 to discuss your options.
If you’re okay with still paying a smaller amount while you’re away, you could get a storage policy or carry
liability coverage
only. Both of these options will reduce your monthly cost while keeping your vehicle insured.
If neither of those options work, you’ll need to
cancel your GEICO policy
. Then, you’ll need to reinstate your insurance or start a new policy when you return.”
