I am buying a 2022 Kia Soul. The dealership said I need to show proof of insurance when I pick up the car. How can I show that?

- If you already havecar insurance: Your insurance provides a grace period between 14 and 30 days for you to transfer insurance to the new vehicle. That means the original policy should cover the new Kia Soul—all you need to do is show your insurance card and any documentation that shows you’re going to transition the old insurance to the new car.
- If you don’t have car insurance: Start by shopping around. Request quotes from several car insurance companies by providing theKia VINand some personal information. Once you find the right policy, purchase it, and the insurer provides you with proof—you can usually get a digital card sent to your phone so you don’t have to wait for a physical card to come in the mail.
