How can I reset my BMW service indicator?

I recently got my BMW serviced and everything is running great, but the service indicator light isn’t going away. It's getting really annoying. How do you reset the service light on a BMW?

“Persistent notifications when you’ve just had your car serviced can be incredibly frustrating. Luckily, there’s a very simple fix to your problem.
To reset your BMW service indicator follow these simple steps: Step 1: Get inside your BMW, close the door, and buckle the seatbelt. Step 2: Hold down the odometer reset button with your left hand while placing the keys in the ignition. Step 3: Still holding the button, turn the keys once to the accessory position. Wait until the indicator light starts flashing. Step 4: After a few seconds the word reset will display. Release the odometer reset button, then press and hold it again. Step 5: Once more, release the odometer reset button and five green LED lights will come on, indicating the system has been reset. You’re all done!
If for any reason the service indicator comes back on again, you may need to take your car to a mechanic—there could be a

going on.
