How can I replace the power steering hose in my 2000 Honda Accord?
I want to give my old 2000 Honda Accord to my son as his first car, but it needs a little bit of work before I can give it away. The only thing it needs that I’m not sure how to do is replace the power steering hose. Is there a way I can do this myself, or do I need to take it to the shop?

A power steering hose replacement is something that most mechanically inclined drivers can easily do themselves. And the good news is, you won’t need a car lift.
- Remove the 10mm bolts on top of the pressure hose and on the brackets that hold the hose.
- Remove the hose and try not to bend it!
- Transfer the pressure switch.
- Install the new hose and again, be careful not to bend it.
- Reinstall the 10mm bolts.
