My policy expires next week. I like my policy and I would like to keep it. How do I renew it?

Typically, a
car insurance company
would send you a notice of renewal 30 to 60 days before your current policy expires.
If you haven’t received a notice, check your email, online account, and your regular mail. It may have gotten lost somewhere. If you can’t find a renewal notice, reach out to your insurance company. An agent can provide more information regarding your renewal.
In most situations, car insurance companies will renew policies as long as you haven’t missed payments, owe a balance, or have had an excessive number of claims, accidents, or violations. Should any of those be true, your insurance company has the right to cancel your policy.
Your renewal period is a time for both you and your insurance company to review the terms and conditions of your policy. If you’ve made any coverage changes or your insurance company has rerated your policy, the renewal notice should reflect these changes.
Renewals occur automatically if you don’t cancel your policy beforehand. If you are on autopay, the payment for your renewed policy would come out of your bank account or credit card as usual. After that occurs, you may receive an additional notice thanking you for renewing your policy.
Since you want to avoid a lapse of coverage, contact your insurance if you haven’t seen a renewal notice. This will give you enough time to request
car insurance quotes
with other companies if needed.
If you’ve noticed a huge increase in your premiums on your renewal notice, consider shopping around for car insurance with
