company may require that you still be listed as a household member. They also may have to list you as a driver. The same applies if you are still living at home.
Car insurance carriers want to know everyone that lives in a household to determine who may be driving the vehicle. This is to ensure that anyone driving the vehicle is covered if there is an accident.
However, your own insurance rates or policy will not be impacted. There typically aren’t any negative consequences when being listed on another person’s policy.
If you’re still uncomfortable about it, you can try speaking with your parents to see what their options are.”
