My teenage daughter is getting licensed. We want to add her to our insurance, but the cost is prohibitive. How can we reduce the cost of adding her to our car insurance?

Because teenagers are high risk drivers, adding them to policies is downright expensive. That said, you can reduce the cost by using a few hacks.
Many car insurance companies offer discounts for teen drivers when they take a driving course. For example,
State Farm
has a program called Steer Clear. Teens and young drivers who complete the course receive a discount.
If your daughter gets good grades, your
car insurance
company may also offer a good student discount. Contact your insurance company to find out what discounts you qualify for when adding your daughter to your policy. You’ll also want to shop around with other companies.
Insurance company rates aren’t the same everywhere, so you may be able to find a
more affordable rate
with another company. And that’s when you should use the
Jerry
app. Sign up today to compare quotes from dozens of insurers to get the best rate possible.
