- Buy a can of freon based on your owner’s manual specifications. This will usually cost about $30 to $50.
- Open the hoodand locate the low-pressure valve. It will be marked with an L and is usually on the left-hand side of the engine.
- Turn the AC on to the coldest and strongest setting and allow it to run for about five minutes.
- Take the cap off of the low-pressure valve and attach the hose from the can of freon.
