I just purchased a new vehicle and I’m concerned my children’s car seats are going to damage the leather seats. How can I protect the leather from the car seats?

Leather seats can be expensive to repair or reupholster, so protecting them is a great way to extend their life and keep them looking brand new.
Children’s car seats can damage the leather over time, but luckily there are a few ways to protect them by:
- Installing seat protectors (generic or specifically tailored for your vehicle)
- Laying out a mat or a towel
- Removing the car seat and conditioning the leather when the seat is not in use
There are many styles of seat protectors, and investing in a style that has additional pockets may make it easier to keep track of your children’s items and ensure nothing is lost under the seats or left behind.
