I’m planning to re-paint the siding on my two-story house. I don’t have my scaffolding, though, and I don’t think it would be worth buying one since this is all I’d use it for. How can I paint the outside of my house without scaffolding?

Repainting your home’s siding can be a great way to make it feel like new again! If you’re trying to figure out how to paint the outside of your house without a scaffolding, there are a few other options you could consider:
- If you’re willing to wait for certain sections to dry between applications, you could use a ladder instead of scaffolding. Of course, if you do so, it’s always a good idea to have someone on standby to make sure your ladder remains stable.
- There are also certain tools that allow you to place a standard paintbrush or paint roller in a holding device that can attach to an extending rod to reach higher areas
- You could also ask a local handyperson, who should already have the right equipment on hand, to take care of your house’s new paint job for you
What you shouldn’t do is try to jerry-rig a scaffolding or platform yourself that ends up being unstable and leaves you at risk of getting injured.
