Can you have an electric car if you live in an apartment? I want to get a Tesla, but I know the charger involves installation so owning a home and having a garage is best.

Typically, Tesla owners have a home charger installed in their garage. But realistically, this isn’t a possibility for everyone—and that’s okay.
You can absolutely still own a Tesla if you live in an apartment. Here’s how:
Plan ahead. Be aware of approximately how much you’ll be driving and where charger stations are located. With this information, you can figure out if you can charge your Tesla while you’re at work, on the way home, or maybe when you’re going to the gym.
Charge first thing in the morning or last thing at night, when possible. Doing this will keep you from finding yourself without power during the day.
Be productive while you charge. Choose to use charging stations that are in areas where you can get something else done. Oftentimes, there are Superchargers near malls or shopping centers for convenience.
