Installing a trailer hitch is a fantastic way to increase the utility of your car—but it takes a little elbow grease. To install the trailer hitch on your Honda Odyssey you will need:
Exhaust pliers
A nut driver
A socket wrench with a 5-inch extension

Unscrew the four bolts on the bottom of your driver’s side panel.
Unscrew the two screws inside the panel.
Remove the mudflap and rubber isolator holding the exhaust in place.
Have a friend help you line up the hitch with the bolts holes by your exhaust.
Bolt the hitch to your car using the holes by your exhaust.
Use the socket wrench and attachments to tighten the bolts.
Reinstall the rubber exhaust isolator, mudflap, and driver’s side panel.
