How can I get a Honda Clarity 12v battery replacement?

I drive a Honda Clarity and the battery is starting to go out on me. I haven’t had the car that long, so I’ve never replaced the battery before. How can I get a battery replacement? Do I need to pay someone to install it for me?

If your
Honda Clarity’s
battery is fizzing out, then you’ll want to get it replaced as quickly as possible, otherwise your car may not start if it dips below 12-volt capacity. If your Honda Clarity is covered under warranty, it’s a great idea to take it into the dealership—just try to avoid any extras they’ll try to tack on. Replacing the 12v battery might sound challenging, but it’s not too hard, in reality.
First, pop the hood and ensure the car is turned off—remove the key if you want. You’ll then want to locate the battery and remove the bracket(s) that keep it secured in the engine compartment. You’ll want to remove the battery cables, paying attention to the positive and negative connections (red is positive, black is negative). Take your old battery out, place it on a stable surface, and then replace it with the
new 12v battery
that you’ve purchased. Reattach the cables, brackets, and ensure that any connections are free from corrosion.
