How can I fix the front bumper clips?
The front bumper on my Honda Civic is dangling to one side because the bumper clips snapped off. It’s not interfering with the way the car drives (yet), but my car looks junky. My best friend says I can just use electrical tape to keep the bumper in place, but I don’t want to do that. I also don’t want to spend a lot of money on a whole new bumper. How can I fix my front bumper clips?

I agree with you about taping the bumper—not only is it aesthetically unappealing, but tape would also likely damage your car’s paint job. Fortunately, replacing front bumper clips is fairly straightforward.
To fix your bumper clips, try the following:
- First, consider buying new clips for both sides of your bumper. I know that only one side of the bumper is dangling, but if your Honda’s older, consider replacing the other clips as well. A bit of preventative maintenance can save you time in the long run.
- To install the new clips, loosen the bumper screws and pop off the front bumper. You should then be able to access the area where the broken clips are located.
- Install the new clips and replace the bumper.
