I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I got pulled over because apparently, my tail lights are out. I just got a warning and promised to repair them, but I’m not sure what the exact issue is. How can I fix my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee tail lights if they’re not working?

Grand Cherokee tail lights aren’t working. The most common reason is faulty bulbs. This is especially true if you have just one light out, but even with two, there’s a chance that the bulbs went out at different times and you didn’t notice.Fixing this problem is quick and easy and can be done at home. Here’s how to change a Jeep Grand Cherokee tail light:
- Disconnect the battery
- Access the tail light assembly by opening the trunk and removing the cover
- You’ll need a Torx screwdriver for this—the screws are funky!
- Remove the tail light assembly
- Squeeze and remove the socket
- Replace bulb
- Reinstall parts in reverse order
If changing the bulbs didn’t help, you may have a broken fuse or a wiring problem. You’ll have to
