- Mix ½ lb of Epsom salt with ½ gallon of distilled water
- Clean the car battery using equal parts baking soda and water
- Remove the battery cover
- Fill the battery with the salt solution
- Reinstall the battery cover
- Charge the battery slowly, ideally over 24 hours
