No, you’re not going crazy! The 2007 Buick Lucerne battery location is actually in the back seat, underneath the seat cushion.
Pop up the rear seat cushion and flip it forward to expose the battery. You’ll need an 8 mm socket and ratchet to remove the negative and positive cables and a 13 mm to unscrew the battery from its location.
