How can I fight a stop sign violation?
Is it worth it to fight a ticket for running through a stop sign? A few days ago, a police officer pulled me over and said I ran the stop sign. I live on this street and drive it several times a day; I know stopped! I shouldn't have to pay for this ticket but I don't know if the court will believe me.

Was anyone else with you in the car? Did you see a neighbor standing by watching? If so, ask them if they will be your witness in court. Involving another person can help.
Was the stop sign partially obscured or is the crosswalk faded? Take pictures of the area to show that you might not have seen the stop sign as clearly as the officer did. If the police officer claims that you had a rolling stop, these pictures would give your defense more validity.
There is also a possibility that the citing officer is too busy to show up to court that day. If they don’t, there is a substantial chance your case will be dismissed!
