How can I cancel my GEICO car insurance?
I've been insured with GEICO for a couple of years, but I recently lost my job, and am very low on savings. I know I need to be insured, but I’ve found cheaper rates for the same coverage with other providers. How do I cancel my GEICO car insurance first?

I’m so sorry to hear about your job. For what it’s worth, GEICO does not charge a cancellation fee and makes canceling their insurance very easy:
- Call (800) 841-1587
- If prompted to speak to the Interactive Voice Response (IVR), say “cancel insurance policy” and then “auto.”
