How can I buy insurance on a car with a salvage title?
A couple of years back, I impulsively bid on a car with a salvage title at an auto auction, and to my surprise, I won it. I decided to make a project out of it, and three years later, it looks brand new! Now, though, I'm trying to insure it, and I can't find any providers willing to insure it, despite the fact that it is fully repaired. How can I buy insurance on my salvage car?

- Make sure you have valid registration.
- Undergo a safety test. Your car will have to pass to ensure that it’s drivable.
- Get a rebuilt title from the DMV for your car. This makes it insurable and legal to drive on the road.
- See if your insurance company also offers collision insurance for rebuilt vehicles.
