How can electric cars become more affordable?

I’m considering buying an electric car but was wondering how and when they might become more affordable?

Yes, it is true that compared to normal cars,
electric cars
are still on the more expensive end. However, each passing year this seems to be leveling out and there’s research that suggests by 2025, they’ll be on par with gas engines in terms of price.
One of the main contributing factors to electric cars becoming cheaper is simply that demand for them at a lower price is increasing. With that demand, technology is being developed to make their production more streamlined and efficient, thus cheaper! There’s also positive speculation about alternative batteries that will drive down prices even more.
The Nissan Leaf at $28,375 is currently the most affordable. If you’re looking for something cheaper than the Leaf, my advice would be to simply wait another couple years as they continue to drop.
