Recalls are issued by the manufacturer when a systematic problem is discovered with a specific model. If your vehicle is affected, you can bring it to a dealership for free repairs.
The best way to look up recalls on your vehicle is to find your VIN and then call your local Toyota dealership. They can search their database and tell you if your vehicle is impacted. If it is, they can schedule you in for repairs.
The 2017 Yaris iA has several recalls. They relate to airbag deployment, spare tire air pressure, and load carrying capacity labeling. The 2019 iA has some recalls related to the fuel pump and non-permanent labels.
If you already own one of these models, don’t wait to take care of these issues! If you’re looking for a used Yaris, ensure these issues have already been resolved.
