Does your driving instructor have to be at your test?
I’m really nervous about my driver’s license test next week. I have a lot of questions—but does your driving instructor have to be at your test? Can I just take my mom?

Congratulations on getting your learner’s permit, and how exciting about your upcoming license test! Your driving instructor does not have to be at your test. You just need a licensed driver to drive you to and from the test—so you can take your mom (as long as she has a license!).
Tips to keep in mind for your behind-the-wheel test:
Get to the DMV early! If you’re late, they may ask you to reschedule your test.
Bring your learner’s permit with you.
The examiner will perform a safety check first and then the road test will begin.
The road test is typically 10-15 minutes—take your time and don’t rush!
Best of luck with your test! You’re gonna do great.
