Does Toyota’s warranty cover shocks?

I have been having trouble controlling my Toyota (that I’ve had for three years now) at highway speeds and I think I may need to replace my shocks. Does Toyota’s warranty cover shocks?

Sorry to hear you’re having car issues! Unfortunately, Toyota’s new vehicle warranty generally does not cover shocks as this type of damage is deemed normal wear and tear. However, your warranty will cover your shocks if the damage is a direct result of a manufacturing defect.
Reach out to your local Toyota dealership to confirm your warranty details—if it is a Toyota-caused defect, you won’t have to pay out of pocket! In either case, remember the importance of keeping your vehicle on a regular
car maintenance schedule
. This will help you avoid unnecessary wear and tear that costs you more in the long run.
