Does the Toyota Corolla LE have a manual transmission?
I’ve driven Toyotas for most of my life, but it’s time to replace my 2008 vehicle. I would love to buy another stick shift, but does the Corolla LE come with a manual transmission?

does not have a manual transmission. The LE trim level uses a dynamic-shift continuously variable transmission (CVT) and features a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder DOHC engine capable of producing 169 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque. If you’re looking for a stick-shift Corolla, check out the
SE
or the SE Apex Edition, which both come with a six-speed manual transmission. Although you may not be getting a manual transmission on the LE, you are getting some other great features:
- 33 mpg combined fuel economy
- Ample standard active safety features
- Hybrid option
- Touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Wi-Fi hotspot (subscription)
Regardless of which model you choose, the Corolla is an excellent car with high reliability, but you’ll need the right car insurance policy to keep it protected.
