My history teacher mentioned there used to be a highway that went all the way across the country called the Lincoln Highway. Is it still there?

The Lincoln Highway as a whole doesn’t exist today, but many of its monuments and markers are preserved—and there’s even a stretch near Omaha, Nebraska where you can see the original brick pavement.
As the first major Interstate in the United States, the original Lincoln Highway started in New York City and spanned over 3,000 miles and 13 states to reach Lincoln Park, California. Once the Interstate Highway System was developed in the 1950s, parts of the Lincoln Highway were renamed, with most of it becoming US Route 30, which runs from
