The recall was issued in April of 2009 and applied to 139,844 Sedona, Sportage, Sorento, Ronto, and Amanti vehicles manufactured in the 2006 and 2007 model years.
According to Hyundai-Kia, the stop lamp switch in these vehicles may have been damaged during the assembly process, potentially resulting in one or more of the following malfunctions:
