Does the Honda Fit have enough back seat space?
Last week, I landed a great job—40 miles from my house. I’m going to need a subcompact car, but I have two toddlers and a husband. Sometimes, we’re all going to need to be in my car together. Does the Honda Fit have enough back seat space for someone like me?

Congratulations on your new job! I’m sure you already know that the Honda Fit gets incredible gas mileage—(33 city/ 40 highway). And while it’s certainly a subcompact, the Fit seats 5 adults, according to Honda. This means that two toddlers in their car seats should be fine in the back seat.
Here are the precise rear-seat dimensions for a 2021 Honda Fit:
*Legroom: 39.3 inches
*Hip room: 45.1 inches
*Shoulder room: 52.6 inches
*Headroom: 37.5 inches
Many owners report being surprised at the spaciousness of the back seat in light of how small the car is overall.
In addition, the back seats are what Honda calls Magic Seats because of how they can be folded flat and positioned in a variety of ways to maximize space. So, if you’re going to the supermarket without your toddlers, you’ll have plenty of cargo space in the back.
