Does the Chevy Malibu come with a manual transmission?
I’m looking for a newer, used Chevy Malibu, but I prefer driving a standard instead of an automatic. What years were Chevrolet Malibus available with manual transmissions?

I’m sorry to tell you that you won’t find a manual transmission
Chevrolet Malibu
unless you go way back to look at older models, or you’re shopping for your car in Europe or Uzbekistan. The eighth-generation Malibu, produced from 2011 to 2016, offered a 6-speed manual for those markets, but not in North America. Assuming you aren’t dead-set on importing a used Malibu from the other side of the globe, you’ll have to look back to the fourth-generation Malibus, produced from 1978 to 1983. Those were the last production years in which North American Chevy Malibus came available as both an automatic and a manual. Ever since they’ve been automatic only.
