I’m getting a used Equinox from my uncle for my 16th birthday! Does it have Bluetooth capabilities or will I have to buy something to be able to pair my phone?

Happy birthday! You’ll be glad to know that the **2011 Chevy Equinox comes standardly equipped with Bluetooth capabilities.
Pairing your smartphone with your Equinox is easy. Here’s all you have to do:
Turn on your Equinox but keep it in park.
Touch the phone icon on your vehicle’s infotainment touchscreen.
Add your phone by selecting “Add Phone,” “Pair Device,” “Connect Phone” or “+.”
In your mobile device’s Bluetooth settings, select your Equinox from the list of available Bluetooth devices.
Confirm that the code shown on your mobile device is the same as the code on your Chevy’s screen.
Press “Pair” on your vehicle’s infotainment touchscreen. You may also have to accept the pairing on your device.
If desired, agree to allow your Equinox to access your phone’s contacts and messages.
