Does speed reduce range in an electric car?

I'm not yet sold on the idea of buying an electric car, but I already have one picked out. I can't stop worrying about range availability. I want to know as much as I can about what affects my range to decide if this can work for me. So what about speed? Does speed reduce the range in an electric car?

You’re not alone; the range anxiety is real! Understanding your limits is the best way to move forward securely, and in this case, speed can reduce the range in an electric car. You’re probably aware of some of the factors that can affect the range of your
electric vehicle
. Things like weather, speed, charge capacity, and battery health/age can contribute to the decline. If you’re constantly logging miles on the highway, you need to consider how speed affects the range of your electric car. The more you pound your accelerator, or the faster you go, the quicker your battery will deplete. In opposition, softer acceleration and lower speeds will help you conserve energy, so being mindful of your travel routes can help save on range. Electric car manufacturers have considered this issue as well. They’ve added a fantastic feature that can help drivers make up for their range expense. It’s called regenerative braking. While driving in stop-and-go traffic, regenerative brakes help to save on energy and can off-put some of the range you’ve lost. Remember, you can maximize your car range by considering the following things: vehicle preconditioning, regenerative braking, routine maintenance, and matching your vehicle’s needs. Be mindful of your vehicle’s needs, and it should be a breeze. For more ease, check in with
