Does renters insurance cover biohazard cleanup?

I had an accident at my apartment where I sliced my arm pretty badly. I’m okay now, but some of my belongings are damaged and there is some blood in the apartment. Does my renters insurance cover biohazard cleanup?

I’m so sorry to hear you cut your arm, that sounds horrible. I’m glad to hear you’re doing better.
If you’re renting a home or apartment and the is damage from blood, body fluids, or any other biohazards, your
renters insurance
may be able to help. Your policy can help to replace any of your personal belongings if they were damaged by the biohazard after you pay your deductible. Read over your policy for specific coverages.
Now if the apartment itself is damaged by a biohazard, your landlord’s property insurance should cover the repair costs. You should talk with your landlord to learn what is covered relating to biohazard damages. If you do need biohazard cleanup, contact your landlord right away.
Accidents happen, and having the right insurance can protect you from paying large amounts out of pocket.
