Does renters insurance cover accidental damage to a TV?
I was watching a nature show and my cat went crazy! It was super funny until she knocked my TV over and broke it. Will my renters insurance cover the accidental damage to my TV?

covered peril
. Although the purpose of renters insurance is to protect your personal property from accidental damage, in this instance, you wouldn’t have coverage. Common covered perils in a renters policy include:

- Wind
- Freezing
- Lightning
- Smoke
- Theft
- Vandalism and malicious mischief
