Does Progressive cover home insurance?
I’m looking for a new homeowners insurance policy. I have car insurance through Progressive, so it’d be great if I could get home insurance through them. Does Progressive cover home insurance?

With Progressive, standard homeowners insurance covers:
- Your house and any structure attached to it (like decks or garages)
- Other structures, like detached garages, sheds, or fences
- Personal belongings
- Loss of use, which helps cover temporary living expenses if your house becomes uninhabitable
- Personal liability, which covers legal expenses if someone is hurt or their property is damaged on your property
- Medical payments if someone is hurt on your property
Damages and losses will be covered if they’re caused by named perils, some of which include:
- Fire and smoke
- Wind
- Theft
- Hail
The following are not included in a standard homeowners insurance policy with Progressive, but you can still add on these coverages through them:
- Flooding
- Sinkholes
- Earthquakes
- Landslides or mudslides
Repairs and replacements for your home due to wear and tear aren’t covered, which is typical for a homeowners insurance policy.
