Does Nissan’s warranty cover transmission?
I brought my 2021 Nissan Sentra to my local mechanic after it started stalling out on me, and he thinks the problem has something to do with the car’s transmission. My Sentra is only a year old, and I’m pretty sure it’s still under warranty. I’m wondering if I should bring it to a dealership instead. Does Nissan’s warranty cover transmission?

five-year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty includes the car’s transmission—so you should absolutely have a dealership look at it before you pay for the repair out of pocket. You’ll need the dealership to diagnose the problem first, of course, but if they determine your Sentra’s
transmission issue is the result of a mechanical malfunction, you’ll be able to get your car fixed for free. In addition to your car’s transmission, here’s what else Nissan’s powertrain warranty covers:
