Does home insurance cover water damage if it damages something we just had repaired?

If our roof starts leaking after bad weather, would our insurance cover the damage to the insulation? We just had new insulation put in our attic.

“While it depends on your home insurance policy, most policies exclude water damage. If your roof starts leaking, you’ll be responsible for fixing the leak as well as the damage it caused.
Water damage caused by natural forces is also excluded in most policies.
Most
home insurance policies
will cover water damage if it was caused by accidental discharge from plumbing or heating. This also includes home appliances as well.
Home insurance policies also cover reasonable repairs, but the peril that caused the damage would also need to be covered. If your insulation was ruined by a burst pipe in the attic, then you’d be able to submit a claim to your insurance.
Since this isn’t the case, you’re not likely to get insurance coverage to replace the insulation. If you’re unclear on what may be covered, you can also reach out to your insurance company.”
