Does driving without a license violate probation?
I’m on probation for some stupid moves I made a year ago. While I haven’t had any criminal issues, I’ve lost my license for getting too many points. However, I need to get to work, and I have no other way to get there other than driving. Will driving without a license violate my probation?

Unless your probation contract explicitly states
driving without a license
as a violation of probation, it shouldn’t violate your probation. However, it’s still illegal.If you’re caught driving without a license, you face:
- Fines
- Long-term suspension of your license
- Possible jail time
Since you’re already in some hot water, you should probably find another way to get to work. Consider:
- Asking a coworker for a ride
- Using public transportation
- Riding a bike or scooter
- Taking Uber or Lyft
