Does changing your own oil void the warranty from Honda?
I just bought a new Honda. The warranty seems great, but I also love to do my own maintenance. If I change my own oil, will I void the warranty from Honda?

As long as you keep meticulous records and you can prove that you use the motor oil explicitly suggested by
Honda
in the owner’s manual, you will not void the warranty from Honda.The only way that you would void the warranty from Honda is if you didn’t look up the right motor oil for your car and you filled it with the wrong oil. Even if your car is under warranty, filling your car with unrecommended or wrong fluids will void the warranty.
When in doubt, consult your dealership or the owner’s manual and keep receipts. By doing so, you’ll never void the warranty.
