Does adding a remote start void the Toyota warranty?
I have a Toyota car that I recently bought, but it’s still under warranty. It’s super cold where I live, so I want to install a remote starter to warm the car in the morning. Will doing so void my Toyota warranty?

Thanks to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, adding a remote start will not void the
Toyota
warranty. This act states that consumers have a certain amount of protection with regard to warranties. In the case of cars, minor upgrades or mods are protected by federal law and Toyota cannot void the warranty based solely on the installation of a remote starter—aftermarket or OEM.However, a remote start could *potentially void** a warranty, but this would typically only occur if the starter was incorrectly installed and caused other components to fail.
