Does a cell phone ticket go on your driving record?
I received a cell phone ticket the other day for texting and driving. The officer caught me red-handed, so I’m not disputing the charge. I just want to know if it will have a lasting impact. Will a cell phone ticket go on my permanent driving record?

If you simply received a ticket for texting while driving, you won’t see anything on your permanent record. But if the officer cites you for careless driving, you will get points on your license and an increase in your car insurance rates. Conversely, a texting while driving ticket will only cost you a fine.
