Do you need a front license plate in Vermont?

Will I have to get a front license plate when I move to Vermont? I don’t have one since they don’t require them in Indiana, and I’m a little worried about getting a ticket.

Typically, yes, you will need a front license plate in
Vermont
. When you register your vehicle, the DMV will issue you two license plates: one for the front of your car, and one for the rear.
However, in some instances, the Vermont DMV will only issue you one license plate at a time, meaning you could start with a single license plate rather than a pair of plates. If this happens, attach the plate to the rear of your vehicle, since this is the most common location for a license plate. Then, once your second plate arrives, attach it to the front of your car.
