Every other vehicle must have one plate in the front and one in the back. While failure to comply with this law is considered a secondary offense—meaning the police can’t pull you over just for driving without a front plate—you could still be ticketed and fined in the event that you’re pulled over for something else.
You’ll receive your new plates after registering your car in Utah. After that, it’s your responsibility to attach them to your car and display them properly.
