Do you need a driving log to get your license?
I want to get my driver’s license as soon as possible. Right now, I’m 16 years-old, so I’m shooting to get it by the time I turn 17. My only problem is that my parents are always busy. As a result, I’m having trouble logging enough supervised driving hours. But do I really need a driving log to get my license?

Driving logs are vital to the state because they show your driving proficiency and experience. As a result, you need a driving log to get your license.
While some DMVs won’t check, you’re better off having the log when you go to get your license or apply for your written exam or road test. Moreover, your parents will have to sign the log, so getting in your hours will ensure you don’t come across any situation that prolongs your licensure.
The amount of hours you need on your driving log varies by state. While most states mandate six hours with a driving instructor, your behind-the-wheel experience with a licensed driver will vary from 30 to 50 hours.
