My brakes are taking a lot longer to work, and they’ve gotten really screechy lately. I’m just guessing at this point, but I thought it could be a wheel-cylinder problem. Do you know how to tell if a wheel cylinder is bad?

That could definitely be a possibility! These are some signs to watch out for that could mean your wheel cylinder is starting to fail:
- Delayed response when braking
- Soft brake pedal that sinks to the floor
- You discover a brake fluid leak
- Grinding or screeching sounds
