Do used Kias have a warranty?
I’m shopping for a used Kia but want to make sure I have a warranty. I think used cars need warranties more than new ones, so it’s important to me. Do warranties come with used Kias?

Enjoy used car shopping! Kia doesn’t offer warranties on used cars, but new vehicle warranties can be transferred to a second owner. That said, the original warranty of 10 years or 100,000 miles turns into five years or 60,000 miles.
Here’s some more good news: the ability to transfer one or more Kia warranties can add to a vehicle’s resale value. These warranties will transfer to the second owner:
- Five-year/60,000-mile limited basic program
- Five-year/100,000-mile limited anti-perforation program
- Five-year/60,000-mile roadside assistance program
Roadside assistance is a great warranty to have. It covers towing a vehicle to the nearest Kia dealership in addition to:
- Repairing a flat tire
- Gas delivery
- Jumpstarts
However, it limits these services to $75 per occurrence.
