“The finance company will not call the police when repossessing your car unless you are refusing to turn over the car or are being violent.
As long as you let the repossession person take your vehicle, there wouldn’t be a reason why the police would be called. While your credit will be damaged from a repossession and your
will likely be higher, you won’t be prosecuted criminally.
Your vehicle is being repossessed due to a breach of contract. If you cooperate, you shouldn’t have any issues. In most cases, you can also get your car back if you pay the amount you owe the finance company.”
