Do I need to warm up my BMW before driving?

Should I let my car run for a few minutes before I start driving, or can I drive my BMW without warming it up? I’ve never lived in a cold location before so I’m not sure what I should be doing to keep my car in good shape.

It’s great that you’re being cautious about your new environment! While you don’t necessarily need to let your car sit to warm up, it is a good idea to take it slow in your
BMW
before you start driving full-speed, especially in the morning when your car has been sitting for a while.
Driving fast with a cold engine can be difficult for your car, but driving slowly can actually help your engine warm up more quickly. That way, you’ll be able to get to where you need to be without letting your car idle first.
Did you move recently? If so, you’ll need to update your car insurance. Check out the
