Do I need to replace my paper driving license?

I accidentally put my paper driving license in my pocket and sent it through the washing machine. Do I need to replace it, or should I just wait until my official plastic license comes in the mail?

That is such an unfortunate event! You don’t necessarily need to replace your paper driving license, but you shouldn’t drive until your new license arrives in the mail.
Driving without a license
can get you into a lot of trouble, so it’s best to wait until you’re officially licensed again.
Usually, your new plastic license will arrive within two weeks of ordering it, so you shouldn’t have to wait for too long. In the meantime, consider bicycling, using public transportation, or walking anywhere you need to go.
