Do I need to renew my paper driving license?

Will I have to renew the paper license that the DMV gave me after I passed my driving test? I’m really nervous that I’ll accidentally put it through the washer or something!

No, you won’t usually have to renew your paper driving license! The paper license that you get after passing your driving test is just a temporary license that you can use until you receive your plastic license card.
If you accidentally lose or destroy your paper license, you can either contact the DMV to try to get a new license, or just wait for your new license to arrive. Just make sure not to drive while you’re waiting for your new license, as
driving without a license
comes with some serious consequences.
