Do I need insurance to test drive a new car?
I am going to look at a new car tomorrow. I realized that since I don't have an insurance policy, they might not let me test drive a car. Will I need to get an insurance policy to test drive a car?

Dealerships have their own commercial insurance plan that covers test drivers.
You will need to have an active and valid driver’s license to test drive. Make sure to bring it with you. Most of the time the dealer will want to look at it for verification.
If you don’t have a driver’s license, bring a friend or family member with you that does. They can do the test drive while you ride along as a passenger.
